How were you injured: While backcountry skiing I was caught in an
avalanche.
How did you get involved in wheelchair rugby: While a patient at
Craig Rehabilitation Hospital at the encouragement of my parents I
went to watch the team practice in the hospital’s gym. A player
wheeled up to me and said: “I’m a C6-7 just like you, don’t puss
out”
What is your classification in wheelchair rugby: 1.5 because of my
trunk
How many years have you played wheelchair rugby: 1.5
What sports did you play prior to your injury: rock climbing,
backcountry skiing
Other than wheelchair rugby, what are your hobbies and spare time
activities: learning to walk, movies, good food
The Players
The Denver Harlequins Wheelchair Rugby Team consists
of members in the Colorado Front Range.
We are the only team in Colorado and the closest team is in Salt
Lake City, Utah. To play other teams, the Harlequins travel across
the country at their own expense to compete in tournaments across
the country.
